Thesis shoot, Emmanuel Martinez
Filmed in studios 501 and 601, here’s what Emmanuel said about using the studios for his thesis:
Dracula’s Study:
The day before shooting I arrived to 501, and took items away from the shelf. I covered certain areas with blankets to hide the shelf’s modern design and then began placing various props onto it. Meanwhile my DP set up a window flat right next to it with two large curtains on both sides.
For the reverse shot, we used the brick wall in 601 as a back drop, brought up the two curtains and set up the candelabras in the foreground.
Noir Office:
I had made the detective board ahead of time so when we got to the study all we really had to do was move the desk to where the bed was. After decorating the desk we were all done.
