DMX Guide
DMX stands for Digital Multiplex and is a system that allows multiple fixtures (lights) to be affected by a single controller (Ipad in our case).
There are a few key things to know about our DMX system:
Under no circumstance should the control boxes by the iPad be touched.
Under no circumstance should anything in the ipad setup ever be unplugged. It will cause networking issues and cause the system to go down.
The LED Aputure lights have a wireless connection to the system and thus can be moved around, however, they should not be unplugged.
Each dimmer box (the black boxes in the grid) can handle a maximum of 2500W between all 4 outlets. Each dimmer box corresponds to one fader on the iPad. This means all 4 outlets on each dimmer box share being controlled by one fader. These dimmer boxes are for tungsten lights only. No LEDs or Kinos can be plugged into them.
The dimmer boxes should not be unplugged, turned off, or have any of their settings changed.
To power down the lights at the end of class, please just power them off at the faders on the ipad. Do not turn them off at the breakers.
